The ORF Styria brings GIPRO on TV. As part of "The Futuremakers" series of the Federation of Styrian Industry, a television team visited the Peggau insulator manufacturer.
At the historical location of GIPRO, around 75 employees produce cast resin insulators and bushings today. Only a handful of companies in Europe make such insulators. It is a niche market with illustrious customers. The utility companies need switchgears, instrument transformers, sensors, cable terminations, cable plugs, etc. for power generation and the power distribution network to manage a modern functioning network. This technology comes from companies such as ABB, Schneider-Electric, Siemens, TE Connectivity, NKT cables and Prysmian, as well as Nexans. As a partner of these companies, GIPRO is a supplier of essential components of these applications.
